I lived for 10 years in St. Paul's Place in mid-1960. Back then, it was a great place, clean, well-cared for, full of children (of course), everyone was friends (mostly, :)) and it was quite a place to grow up. Different now: run down, third-rate conditions. Too bad.

Very poor management, cannot keep Drum tobacco in stock (more than 1/2 the time they are out of stock, and this has been going on for years).. They keep saying they are shorted by the supplier, but gas stations and other location keep it coming in regularly although they are much smaller customers.. New management required!

JYSK in Saskatoon is doing debit card fraud, you make a purchase then 10 days latter the same charge comes thru your account again. When confronted with the bank statement they refused to return the money they stole. We were then basically asked to leave. Filed complaint with BBB, RCMP and our bank all of which agree it is fraud to debit a persons account without consent using previously obtained information.

Ah, Five Corners. It was University Drive, no Avenue. There used to be a wonderful neon sign at the BA station between 5 Corners and the Broadway Bridge. Used to light up "88" and then "98" and then "BA" if memory serves. This would have been in the late 1950s. We had a Playmouth Belvedere coupe, 389 cu in V8, with a searchlight on the "A" pillar! Coral and black, two-tone, hand-rubbed roof. I recall that 5 corners was a 'scramble' corner, where drivers would have to wait impatiently as 45 seconds was given over to pedestrians to navigate the intersection.
